2nd IPPT_TWINN Summer school - Advanced technologies in injection molding
Date: 10. 9. 2024 – 13. 9. 2024
Venue: Faculty of Polymer Technology, Slovenj Gradec (Slovenia)
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Early-stage researchers, Master's, and Ph.D. Students, who work or study in the field of polymer, mechanical or chemical engineering and wish to deepen their knowledge in the field of advanced technologies in injection moulding and study process optimization using advanced simulation tools.
THE OBJECTIVES: New approaches in the field of polymer engineering led to the development of new materials, and new methods of process optimization using advanced tools, which accelerated implemented novelties in injection moulding technologies. The development of advanced technologies in injection moulding enabled the precise production of the most demanding parts with high added value, as well as the implementation of new improvements on current less complex parts used in everyday life. To better understand and become familiar with new trends in modern injection moulding, we invite you to participate in our four-day summer school event in September 2024.
The summer school is based on lectures, laboratory work and industry visits. In the lectures, participants will get in-depth knowledge of advanced injection moulding technologies and state of the art simulation tools. In the laboratory sessions, the participants will work with foaming and back film injection moulding. The exercises will be done also in laboratory for 3D modelling and simulation, where they will learn how to prepare model and simulate injection moulding of the individual part. During the factory visits, the participants will get the access to the stat of the art companies, specialized in different injection moulding technologies.
REGISTRATION: Assist. Prof. dr. Matija Hriberšek, matija.hribersek@ftpo.eu, by 1st August 2024.
The Summer school course and the social program is free of charge.
