13th IPPT-TWINN WORKSHOP: Modern techniques on rubber injection molding
The 13th workshop took place at the premises of the Polymer Competence Center in Leoben, Austria from 19th to 20th June 2024.
The 13th IPPT-TWINN workshop started with a lecture about rubber compounds and their main ingredients by Dr. Roman Kerschbaumer. After the coffee break, Dr. Martin Traintinger held a lecture about the impact of the rubber injection molding process on part quality, then all the workshop participants had a joint lunch, where they also could get to know each other more and share some of their work experiences with each other. In afternoon part the workshop in the laboratory was led by Dr. Martin Traintinger and Bernard Lechner. The topic of the workshop was the setting up the rubber injection molding process including part characterization via compression set.
The second day of the workshop started with the workshop on the evaluation of part characterization (compression set) and discussion of results. After the first workshop in a day, Dr. Martin Traintinger held a lecture about the quality control system of the rubber injection molding process, and for the final part of the day quality control system of the rubber injection molding was presented in practice.
