In the frame of capacity building various capacity building events will be organized, where the staff at FTPO and the interested researchers from other organizations in Slovenia and the broader region will benefit from the training provided by internationally leading experts in the field of polymer processing.

A series of 18 workshops will be organized, which will provide the team of the coordinating institution with increased knowledge and expertise on various topics. The workshops will consist of a theoretical and practical part; therefore they will be (co)organized at the location(s) of the beneficiary and associated partner institution(s) which has/have the highest know how and latest equipment necessary for the topic of a specific workshop. All four beneficiaries and one associated partner will contribute to the topics with their experts and their young researchers will attend the workshops. The impact of the events will be maximised by online streaming of the activities.

Final Board Meeting of the IPPT_TWINN Project Held in Slovenj Gradec

On 2 December 2025, all partners of the EU-funded IPPT_TWINN project gathered in Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia, for the final board meeting, hosted by the project’s coordinating institution, the Faculty of Polymer Technology (FTPO).

During the meeting, partners reviewed the final tasks and assessed the overall progress and achievements of the project. It was a moment to reflect on three years of fruitful collaboration, knowledge exchange, and successful implementation of project objectives.

An intensive workshop on extrusion-based technologies was held 23th and 24th of September 2025 at the Department of Polymer Engineering, Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME). On June 4–5, 2025, the Faculty of Polymer Technology (FTPO) in Slovenj Gradec hosted the 3rd International IPPT_TWINN Conference on on Metal Replacement and Lightweight Polymer Composites. The two-day event brought together over 90 participants and experts from both academia and industry, representing more than ten countries, who attended the conference either in person or online.
